Photographing a pergola(deck cover)
I had the pleasure of photographing this deck and cover in the past month. The views from this yard in Clayton were awesome, and I was able to catch just the right light when I was there in the twilight hours. This cover and deck was designed and built by Gordon Reese Construction. One of the coolest things about this cover was the way they placed the lighting. If you look closely you can see the inside lighting almost done in a soffit, so it creates just a hint of light at the top of the cover. It was a joy shooting this and watching the sunset over the Contra Costa area all the way out to the Carquinez Straits.
